Apprentice of the Year Awards 2009
The 4th year of this prestigious event at Incommunities took place on Friday 27th February. 12 Apprentices were short listed and the 5 finalists were selected by the Executive Management Team.
The event was hosted at Trust House - Incommunities Head Office in
Delroy Beverley – Director of Property Solutions spoke of Incommunities strong commitment to apprenticeships, and the important part played by them in the future of the company “As a trust, that is central to the community, we continue to demonstrate our commitment to investing in Bradford’s youth by recruiting new apprentices across all areas of our business, and we also actively encourage applicants from the wider community, enabling us to reflect the diversity of the community we serve”. Delroy also mentioned the contribution made by City Training Services to the apprenticeship programme, and thanked them for their invaluable support. The Nominees for the awards included: Dawn Ayres and Adam LeClercq – Plumbing Richard Barr, Jonathan Fawcett and Joseph O’Toole – Electrical Stuart Gudiens and Miles Mitchell – Joinery Hazel Thompson – Plastering Apprentice of the year finalists, who each received a £100 voucher were:– Miles Mitchell; Jonathan Fawcett; Adam Le Clercq; Richard Barr; Stuart Gudiens. The judges selected Miles Mitchell from the 5 finalists as the Overall Apprentice of the Year 2009. One of the finalist’s prizes was donated by City Training Services.
