A traineeship is an education and training programme (currently 12 weeks) that includes a work placement to help you develop the necessary workplace skills to progress into employment or further learning – including an apprenticeship. This is an excellent choice if you are not too sure of the career you want to develop as it gives you a chance to gain that important sector insight which you can include on your CV.

Here at City Training Services, Bradford College’s apprenticeship provider, our traineeship programme starts with a two week classroom based induction followed by an eight week work placement. The purpose of traineeships is to help you develop a range of employability based skills that will prepare you for your future career. The programme will also give you an opportunity to develop your maths and English (if required).
Traineeships are available in a huge range of sectors – to explore these, please visit our available apprenticeships page – traineeships are available the same areas.
