A City Training apprentice has collected the trophy for Apprentice of the Year at the Bradford Means Business Awards.
Kieran Heptonstall, an apprentice with builders NDW Limited, was named the winner at the annual awards ceremony organised by the Bradford Telegraph and Argus.
Described as an “asset to the company” Keiran’s dedication to his job impressed judges, leaving his home in Holme Wood at 5.30am every day to cycle to the company’s base in Apperley Bridge.
Keiran was chosen as the winner from a shortlist of three which also included fellow Bradford College apprentice Mohammad Haroon Khan, an apprentice motor mechanic with Hammerton Autos.
Among the hundreds of guests at the awards ceremony that was held at the Aagrah Midpoint in Thornbury was Dawn Leak, Director of Employer Responsiveness at Bradford College.
Bradford College offers a diverse range of apprenticeships.
