Job Information

Job Title: Business Admin apprentice
Job Description: An excellent opportunity for an organised individual to provide administrative support for a Leeds based charity as well as the opportunity to gain new skills and knowledge in a supportive environment. You will be at the heart of the organisation contributing to its success by providing a smooth and efficient office function.

Behind Closed Doors delivers support to enable people living in Leeds who have experienced domestic violence and abuse to make informed choices about their futures, improve their quality of life and leave the abuse behind.

Duties and responsibilities:

•To provide general administrative and clerical support including typing, filing, answering the office phone, assisting with monitoring and record keeping

•To take, type and distribute minutes if required

•To order stationery and maintain stock levels

•To deal with incoming and outgoing post and routine correspondence

•To be responsible for Health and Safety within the office

•To support the Finance team
Working Hours: 30 Hours Per Week
Weekly Schedule: Day release at City Training Services
Weekly Wage: £147.90

Course Information

Course Title: Intermediate apprenticeship in Business Administration
Course Duration: 12-18 months

Employer Description: Behind Closed Doors (BCD) was established in 1997 and now supports women and men across the Leeds district who have, or are, experiencing domestic violence and abuse.

We have a Community DV Team which works within the Leeds Domestic Violence Service, supporting people assessed as being at medium/high risk and/or needing help with significant practical issues like housing and civil legal proceedings.

Our Prevention and Recovery Service (PARS) works to support people at lower levels of risk who require more emotional support and information to make sense of their experience, recover and move on positively.
